Dear Families

This week, Swiss Cottage school took part in the London Youth Games, representing Camden at Mile End Stadium. Our pupils did phenomenally well in the Para-Athletics competition, achieving silver and gold medals!  Here are some photos of their achievements in the Vortex Throw and 100m Sprint and congratulations to them all.

On Monday 22nd, there is no school for pupils (it’s the final INSET day for staff training). in the meantime, this weekend marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. It is a time when we celebrate the arrival of summer, enjoy the extra daylight, and look forward to some exciting events and celebrations in the last few weeks of the academic year.

Community Event Day – Saturday 11th July
A huge thank you to all the families currently supporting the preparations for our upcoming Community Event Day.
We are incredibly grateful for your generosity. Along with donating raffle prizes, new clothing, and children’s books, many families are already collecting sponsorship for our class Bubble Walks. We also want to recognise those who have made direct financial donations or are raising funds through their own personal challenges. Please see overleaf to read about one of our inspiring parents who is swimming 2km in the open waters of the Copenhagen canal to raise money for our school charity!

Summer Raffle Tickets
This week, your child will bring home two raffle books in their school bag. We would be incredibly grateful for your help in selling these to friends and family.

Cost: Each completed book is worth £10 (£2 per ticket).
Prizes: Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, including cash, gift cards, Kindles, and health/wellness vouchers.
