Dear Families,

We hope this finds you well after an enjoyable half term break. We begin the new half term with a focus on the annual World Book Day. It celebrates the love and joys of reading and storytelling. This year World Book Day takes place on 7th March 2024 for the UK and Ireland.

We are planning a range of sensory literacy, reading, and storytelling activities across the week.

Classes will join an interactive online session: 'Fairy stories with Michael Rosen, Jasbinder Bilan and AllenFatimaharan'
We have the Umbrella Theatre Company in school for a sensory performance of the Wind in the Willows!
Peer reading with pupils from the Upper School reading to classes in the Lower school
Fun literacy and reading lessons in the school library.
Inviting families to share reading experiences at home through Evidence for Learning so that your child can share this with their class.

We invite all pupils to dress up as their favourite character for the activities planned on Thursday, 7th March. Please check your child’s home-school book for their World Book Day token to collect their 2024 free book at a local book store. 27th February 10am Coffee Morning: The Camden Educational Psychologists are leading a workshop on ‘Trauma Informed Practice’. Please sign up for this coffee morning so that we can get the space ready. We hope you can join!
