Dear Families,

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who sent messages of appreciation for our wonderful Teaching Assistants. They do a phenomenal job every day and, as one parent so perfectly described, are “the backbone of the workforce.” It was a real pleasure to share your messages with them at our staff breakfast on Friday and to celebrate the contribution they make to our children and young people.

Coffee Mornings

October 6th - Family Coffee Morning: Come and have a coffee and chat with other families and our Family Inclusion Team. A safe space to get advice, help or just chat.

We are planning our Parent/Carer’s workshops and events for next term – is there anything that you would like us to offer? Please follow this link to make any suggestions that would be helpful to you and your family.

A reminder that you are more than welcome to bring extended family or your carer network to the coffee mornings – we recognise that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are grateful for opportunities to nurture these trusted connections and value their importance to our children and young people's lives.

October 13th – EyeSight Testing for Our Pupils (new offer)

SeeAbility, a Special School Eye Care Service, will be offering free eye sight testing in school for all pupils who opt in. It’s a great opportunity, and they are joining coffee morning to share information about the service and possible benefits.

Mental Health Day

Next week on Friday, we are celebrating Mental Health Day with YoungMinds, encouraging families and staff to wear yellow or bring something yellow into raise awareness and funds to support young people’s mental health. You can donate to the national campaign here: https://fundraise.youngminds.org.uk/event/hello-yellow/donate

Have a delightful weekend,
Syra Sowe
