Dear Parents and Carers,

It was wonderful to see many of you for Family Learning this week, and the children enjoyed welcoming family members in to their classrooms. The feedback from families has been positive and we we look forward to the next Family Learning Week in January.

We are thrilled to announce that 9 of our pupils won the Jack Petchey Foundation Award for their personal triumphs and positive contribution to the community and were celebrated in a ceremony at The Shaw Theatre on Tuesday 4th November. The winners were Aisha, Fabeeha, Lamis, Muzalifa, Abdul, Arif, Harun, James and Tahmid, all of whom came away with medals and certificates. It was a proud evening for the young people, their families and the school staff who attended.

Next week, there will be no Family Coffee Morning – we are hosting a learning conference for 90 school practitioners from across the country who are keen to learn from our provision. However, we will ensure there are additional workshops and events planned this half term for families to engage with.

A reminder that we encourage and support families with children in Year 9 and above to explore options for future college placements – see below for a list of dates for visit days for colleges. These visits are facilitated by our independent Connexions careers advisor Anne-Marie. Please email anne-marie.robins2@camden.gov.uk if you have any queries or would like to confirm your place on any of the visits.

Yours Sincerely,

Syra Sowe
Principal (Interim)
